Derpy, it's called an Easter 'Egg', not a 'Box'.
So unless you've been living in a box or something, you're probably aware of the brand-new official My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic app for iOS and Android systems from Hasbro and Gameloft that came out in the US last night - if you aren't, i've posted links to the respective app stores below.
Basically, it's one of those simulation-city-type-game-things. But there's one aspect that keeps it far off from the rest of the infamous genre - and even helps it rise high above it as well. Have you guessed it?Pony.
Right from the main menu, goodness fills your ears as you get a taste of the app's soundtrack, various clips of instrumental tracks (and maybe even some new arrangements, I'm starting to think) of the best songs from the show, along with William Anderson's original score as well. After watching an exceptionally clever, modified version of the Episode 1 prologue, you're introduced to the game world. If you don't die of cuteness-overload the minute you see the first pony on-screen, you'll be blown away by the new spoken dialogue for all of the main characters, unmistakably portrayed by the proper voice actors and everything.
Oh wait, I'm supposed to be talking about why I made this vector.
After a while of building up your world in-game, you may find a strange cardboard box lying around, with a little rectangular cut-out revealing two rather familiar-looking eyes. Just tap it and die of cuteness-overload all over again.
So yeah, I suddenly felt the impulse to vector out the cardboard box, just from eyeballing it on an iPhone, so here it is, done in a record-breaking 5-10 minutes. But seriously, back to my rant - Gameloft did an amazing job with this game, and it's definitely worth trying out. After all, it's free to download. Just be warned: it's extremely addictive and contains unbearable levels of adorable-ness.
